The Xerafy XS Wedge is a small, rugged RFID tag engineered to deliver high performance in harsh environments. Embeddable for critical tools, the XS Wedge offers exceptional reliability and durability for metal asset tracking.
This high-temperature UHF RAIN RFID tag offers a read range of up to 1 meter with fixed readers and up to 0.50 meters with handheld readers. It can withstand operational temperatures from -40°C to +85°C, survival temperatures up to 220°C for 168 hours, and peak temperatures of 250°C for 2 hours. The XS Wedge is IP68 rated, making it waterproof and highly resistant to shock, vibration, and various chemicals.
Key features include EPC global Class 1 Gen 2 protocol, frequency options of 902-928 MHz (US) and 865-868 MHz (EU), Alien Higgs 9 chip, 96 bits EPC, 48 bits TID and 688 bits user memory. The tag's linear polarization and radiation pattern in metal ensure optimal performance. Its superior performance-to-size ratio, enabled by a high-performance polymer case, ensures the tag delivers exceptional dirt, chemical, UV and wear resistance, as well as excellent mechanical properties.
The tag is made from an industry-grade polymer, measuring ø 10,3 x 4,60 mm and weighing 8 g. It is ideal for applications such as onshore and offshore pipes, heavy equipment and tools, automotive manufacturing and industrial molds.
